The Weak Lead the Strong

First, thanks to everyone for the encouraging words!  Luckily I was able to skip some of those pebbles and today was much better!

One thought has been on replay all week in my brain.  So I sat down yesterday in the midst of the chaos (while I was waiting for the computer to respond) and painted this, because isn’t that what everyone does when their computer is frozen?

God Uses the Weak by Nicole Plymesser Nelson

He really does.  It is really quite amazing how Jesus turns our weakest moments into the times of most prosperity and learning.  So often, He takes us at that low moment and leads us into the plans He has. Because really, that is when we are the most ready.  God takes us when we are humbled and ready to listen, molds us, and creates soldiers for His army of faith warriors.  He helps us use our weakness as a beacon to those who are strong, that those who follow Jesus are capable of so very much.  He uses that time of weakness as a reminder for us that we are capable.

It can be so hard to remember this in those times of weakness.  It helps when you have fantastic role models around you.  I love seeing my friends take a time of challenge and then turning it into a ministry.  I am so proud of women who are slogging through some challenges at this moment, and are on the cusp of leading.

Speaking of:  I have a special woman to introduce to you today.  Meet Leslie Ann Eaton!

Leslie Ann

She is the blogger/author/leader behind the website Bible Stories from the Heart and a new online Bible Study coming in June–Exodus–the one I will be supporting and illustrating with art!  We are so excited about this collaboration.  Follow the links over to the site and sign up to join us!

This is an excerpt from her blog about me page:

Hi,  I am SO excited that God has led me to begin this journey with you!!!

Let me introduce myself… I am a  devoted wife and mother.  I grew up in the church.  I have considered myself a Christian my whole life, but I have not always FOLLOWED God.  Over the years there have been occassions where I have made very BAD decisions.  These BAD decisions temporarily drew me away from God.

Luckily, God is the GREAT RESTORER!!!!  He has forgiven me and I have forgiven myself!  I am now choosing to GIVE my past pain and mistakes to HIM!!! I want Him to USE My STORY to help others!!!

For the past 4 years I have led Bible studies in and around the Atlanta area.  I am OBSESSED with learning and growing!!!!  Leading groups has helped me stay INTENTIONAL about my spiritual GROWTH.

I feel like God is now “calling” me to share my thoughts and studies with others…

Personal Facts:

I attend 12 Stone Church (serve on the coffee team)

I am an elementary school teacher

I am happily remarried to a ROCK solid Christian man (we just celebrated our one year anniversary)

I have 3 children and 2 step children- (ALL are amazing and ALL very different)

This collaboration is so exciting.  I can’t wait to see what happens.  God is planning this, very much so.  And when HE plans it?  It’s all good!

Go, Tell, and make disciples of all nations--spread the good news.
