No googling

I love a good visual and analogy, as you are learning I am sure.  I just can’t help myself.  It’s the artist in me.

Jen Hatmaker at IF came up with this one:  we cannot Google God’s answers.  We will never know it all because God is so much bigger and deeper than anything we can ever comprehend.

Don’t you love that?  I love googling things!  The beauty of smart phones is that no matter what Jeff and I are talking about we can pull up an answer and more information.  We are hooked on the History channel’s show Vikings.  As we were watching the other night we googled Ragnar and Viking history.  It can spark some good discussion, or good natured ribbing if we are checking each other.

But we can’t google God or the future or answers to our lives.  We can’t ask why there is suffering, or when or if something will happen.  That is what FAITH is for, God doesn’t need to explain Himself.  Our limits blind us to God’s capacity.  An answer is never simple with God…He is so far deep and far ahead of us we can never comprehend it.

So why worry?  Why not just be warriors of the moment?  Let go of knowing and be faithful that life will progress, not as we plan, but according to His.

Go, Tell, and make disciples of all nations--spread the good news.
