God does amazing things. Really He does. Stay with me…at the end I have a super cool announcement.
And He is one tricky son of a gun! Just when you least expect Him to come, there He is right in front of you, holding your face, whispering to you, “NOW, now is the time. NOW is when you are going to do my work.”
Yes, He is tricky. Because sometimes we wait, and wait and wait for that moment. We think He should answer us RIGHT NOW. Not Jesus NOW, but our right now. Do you know the difference?
I have talked with several women in the last week about this very topic. One has been waiting a year and God is starting the whispers. Two have been waiting a couple years and still are waiting for what the right answer is.
One is me. Really I have been waiting for these whispers, listening, getting ready, sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation since I started this journey, really three years ago. And it took me, finally sitting back for a year and saying to God, “Okay, I will do this at your pace, we can go slow until you think it is right.” Not easy for a girl with ADHD who struggles with perfectionism. Seriously! I have needed to sit back and really ask myself, “What is important here in this ministry? What direction should I be going?”
Jesus SHOWED UP this last week. In a big way. And He is ready for me to jump in with both feet. And guess what? So did Satan. That jerk immediately started knocking, too. He wanted to know if I was really worth this? Are you really good enough for this? Do you think this is really a good idea? He tried to tempt me with a situation. (I was strong! Good me! Ha!) Because that is also how it works. Satan likes to follow on Jesus’ cloak strings. Such a weasel.
But I digress, I have a big announcement…Jesus came at an hour this weekend with the best email ever. Which is a crazy story, I will tell later.
I am going to be the official illustrator for this online Bible study!!! How cool is that????
I can’t wait to introduce you to Leslie Eaton the author of the blog and study. Her heart for God is so big and so open to what He is wanting to do with her. She just heard His whispers recently, and already she is going gangbusters. Truly gangbusters. I can’t wait to get to talk to her in person and not just over the computer.
So this week I will let you in on more and more of the plans as we solidify them. And I will share more of the links: on facebook, for the app (yes, you can have this as an app!), and other social media.
See, just wait. Jesus is coming. We just have to be waiting. He seriously shows up when you are not expecting Him at all.
