Psalm 139: Wonderfully Designed

Psalm 139: Wonderfully Made by Nicole Plymesser Nelson

Don’t you just love this verse!

DNA is an amazing thing.  (The string of hearts is my take on a double helix strand of DNA. )  To think that who we are is embedded in a microscopic piece of our very cells, at our very core!  I love science. I actually find it amazing the questions that people ask and that they are able to discover some of the answers, unravel the bits of God’s designs.  Because even a lot of scientists are finally giving in to the fact that our world is so intricately designed and perfectly organized that it must be a “higher intelligence” doing all of this amazing work.  (Which we of course are a little ahead of them on this and KNOW it is God.  Silly scientists.)  Just think…one tiny particle of skin, one TINY dust particle really, has all of the information about the core essence of you!  And all of that formed in the womb from one MINISCULE cell.

Insanely amazing!

How can we not trust that God made each of us?  That He made us to be perfectly ourselves?  To look only the way we do, move the way we do, sound that way, think that way, have certain gifts.

Now, does that mean we are perfect.  Nope.  Already discussed that this week.  We have free will. We make choices.  We do wonderful things.  But we also sin.

But at our cores we are fearfully and wonderfully made.  BY GOD.  He planned us.  He knows us.  He loves us.  He knew we were needed in this world.  Just as we are.

Go, Tell, and make disciples of all nations--spread the good news.
