Sound like a strange theme for the week? Maybe it is. But I need it, all the teachers going back need it, all the mamas counting down the days need it, and let’s face it–we can all use a little confidence boost! Are you with me?
This Thursday I take my very first real business trip in a very long time! I am going to Atlanta on Thursday to all sorts of art businessy meetings and I cannot contain my excitement!
This is the crux of it all for me: I finally gave into committing my whole body of work to God and He is pleased. I am feeling very blessed. And the wonderful thing about all those meetings, is that each one is an opportunity to discuss Him and His great commission.
I will meet with a marketing team and author. I will be on tv with Leslie from Bible Stories from the Heart promoting the Bible Study and Faith Journaling. I will be offering a class. And we will be out promoting the printed copy of the Exodus study. It will be a whirlwind weekend!
All of it is work committed to Christ. I know I can be confident that these plans will succeed. And I can trust in the fact that I can be comfortable with any level of outcome–because God will be. If I reach one more of His sheep during those meetings, He is pleased.
That can be the hard thing for us to remember in our current culture. More is more. The bigger the better. Expect new, first place, outstanding numbers.
But that isn’t what necessarily means success to our Lord. One sheep. He is pleased. ONE.
Even if I am the one sheep who comes closer to Him by committing my work: HE IS PLEASED WITH ME.
That right there is a confidence booster! I want to make other people proud, I want to do great things, but really–the MOST important thing ever is to find favor with Jesus. And this will definitely bring me closer to Him. And it will help me feed His sheep. AND I know He will be with me every step of that work.
And He will be with you. He will be pleased with you and your efforts.
I’m so pleased to hear of your many successes. And what exciting times lie ahead of you! Your art is so pleasing and precious to all of us that celebrate God’s glory. I will pray for your upcoming trip, and keep on keeping on!
The Confidence Week Post is beautiful. Blessings on your journey to Atlanta. I so enjoy your posts.
Thank you! It is all about God! Glad I am helping you connect with Him. 🙂
Thank you so much!
