It can be hard after a long weekend/day off for us to go back into our regular work weeks and jobs. It feels so good to be off–because we don’t do it nearly enough.
I wasn’t able to unplug as much as I hoped. I did spend quite a bit of time socializing with friends and family–which was quite lovely. And I did get in a few naps. But instead of zoning out to a book, I wandered Pinterest (I was looking for furniture for a good friend who is re-doing her home after a flood–so that was okay. Right? LOL)
And now…I need to dig in–I have quite a few projects that require a fair amount of time and energy. God is listening to my prayers–He is throwing more business my way and challenging me to be a strong business person. CHALLENGING. I will need to do a much better job of balancing my time, and procrastinating less, and do more artwork to other people’s specifications (not my strongest suit admittedly).
And this verse is going to be KEY to keeping me on track. If I set my mind on the Spirit and that this what God needs me to do, the balance will come. I will be able to craft a life of peace and joy instead of burn out and frustration.
So as we all go back this week–let us pray together that the Spirit will keep Jesus forefront in our thoughts and that they will lead us in our labors.
