Taking Care of Some Tasks

wearisome sanctuary of god

Sometimes I do not understand what God is wanting me to do.  Ever feel that way?   My earthly responsible side says I should be trying to do one thing (get a job with a steady salary and benefits and savings).  And then there is the part of me that wants to do what I think God is calling me to do (this art ministry)–and it doesn’t necessarily fit that bill.  But I want to do the God thing.  🙂

So I have been going to the sanctuary of God with all those wearisome worries lately.  All those tasks that I just can’t make a decision about.  And today, He is putting on my heart, that if I want to continue with HIS work, I best start advertising my work a little more.   I don’t always share a lot about all of it on here…I want this blog to be more about just encouragement and not advertising for my other gigs.  🙂  But I am also doing myself a disservice if I never mention it.  Right?  I will never be able to merge my goal of spreading the gospel through art if I don’t encourage the part that supports this ministry.  And I may have to mention it more often.  But for today, here is a recap:

So here goes:

Wanna see me in action?  You saw last week that I am doing workshops, classes, speaking and demonstrations now.  And traveling a bit to do it.  So let me know if you have a group that might be interested!  I have been in the world of art education in one way or another for 20 years.  Not only do I love creating art, but I love encouraging others and teaching them to create themselves.

My prints are always available in my Etsy shop (link in the sidebar).  They make fantastic cards, gifts, and are great for scripture memorization cards too.

Wanna study the Bible with me and Leslie Eaton?   5,400 members have joined Bible Stories from the Heart — and those numbers are growing quickly!  They are doing it at home, and more are introducing it as a group study in churches and having people in their homes.

We have 2 Bible studies up on Amazon for sale and are working on more.  People are loving the concept of mixing art and Bible study–whether the members color in my illustrations, trace them into a Bible, or draw them from the tutorials into a journal.  Leslie does a great job of presenting the Bible in easy to understand, non-preachy terms.  It is light, yet informational–a just right combination to kick off your week and then keep you focused on one piece of scripture for several days–while using the art to imprint it deeper on your heart.  If you haven’t checked it out, you should click on my link in the sidebar and check out our facebook group at:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/1447039392265675/?fref=nf

And hopefully...we are working on a line of products to go with the studies!  Coloring book, a how to book, stencils, stickers…there are a LOT of ideas floating about.

Plus, I have some other illustration gigs that are in the works.  So we will see.  Maybe, just maybe, I will get used to the wearisome task of advertising and selling.  Maybe just maybe God will pull me into His sanctuary and let me keep doing all of this with your support.  That would be cool, wouldn’t it?

Go, Tell, and make disciples of all nations--spread the good news.
