Tribute to My Mama

Shout out to this lovely lady in honor of Mother’s Day this weekend.

She is a great mom and grandmother, we are so blessed to have her!20160328_174656

This is Brenda Plymesser.

Below are all of her grandkids–we are missing my brother Cliff and brother-in-law Jason.

She does an amazing job of understanding each child, not playing favorites, but knowing their favorites–and getting them as often as she can.  As a mom, she always made us each feel special.

She made faith a central part of our lives.

She is one heck of a card shark!  And she puts up with me as her partner–here she and Jeff are rolling their eyes at something Dad or I did.  She is very good at games–another reason the grandkids love her!20160327_202537 (1)

She has great sewing skills that she passed on to us kids, and now is sharing with Phoebe.  I love when she takes the time to do this with her.

And her cooking!  My family can’t get enough of her gravy especially.  Mom always gets the kids involved–she taught Tanner to peel and she taught Annika all of her mad pie skills.  20151228_185206

And then she turns around and goes outside sledding with them–she even went down the hill.  I can remember lots of times she got right out there with us when I was little–turning cartwheels, dancing, coaching soccer, directing plays.  Her sense of adventure is infectious.

She definitely taught us to keep busy away from a tv!20151228_161249 (1)

And not only does she bless her family–but countless kids in schools, speech and drama programs, and church activities.  She is a role model and gives with her whole heart, and taught us the value that brings back to the giver.  20151126_085216

I love you Mom!

Go, Tell, and make disciples of all nations--spread the good news.
