Busy busy

How true is that?  Even way back in the Old Testament they were talking about being too busy and stressed out.  This isn’t something new.

It has taken me a long time to figure out that every group does not NEED me or my children.  And sure there are lots of opportunities for things we would enjoy or could be good at.  But I have learned, I need sleep.  And being over busy is not conducive to sleep.  And then I forget things and switch things around, don’t accomplish everything, and then I scurry around even busier trying to make up for all of the things I am being blamed for.

Ever felt that?

I saw a great meme the other day that said.  “I am busy.  I am busy resting and finding peace.”  Loved it.  Because it should be so true.  This has been one of my greatest life lessons, and one I preach all the time.

REST.  Take time today and just rest.  Just be.  Whether it be with God, a book, a painting, fishing, tv, a nap, whatever.  Rest.  Practice that pause.

Go, Tell, and make disciples of all nations--spread the good news.

Oh, dear. I am convicted. I find myself trying to do too much, and am busy, busy, busy. Help me, Lord.
