Seek Him

It is so hard during the midst of the storm to remember to reach out to God and remember that He is with us, carrying us.  He is there.  He does not leave us.  He knows what others do, he knows what nature is doing.  He knows.  He never promised that life on earth was going to be easy.  In fact He promises that it will be hard.  And the Bible actually says that we will be persecuted and tested MORE due to our faith because the devil and evil are constantly trying to turn us away.  And the devil makes it so easy to fly up into that storm and stay there swirling in its midst.

So what do we do?

SEEK HIM.  SEEK God.  SEEK Jesus.  SEEK Holy Spirit.

Call on them.  Look for them everywhere you can.  Keep looking and listening and tasting and smelling and feeling until you feel the Spirit calming your whole self.  From the top of your head to the tips of your fingers and toes.  Surround yourself with reminders of God.  Music, words, talismans, people.  Iron sharpens iron.  And those people are all the more necessary when fighting the beasts of evil.  For they are the ones who will help pull us away from the storms and keep our feet rooted in our faith.

Go, Tell, and make disciples of all nations--spread the good news.

One Response to Seek Him

Thank you for this message today! I am facing my kids’s Thanksgiving vacation, but I am still working from home. My kids are really struggling, and the lack of a schedule usually throws them completely off, so I need this reminder to seek Jesus in the midst of the storms going on in my home for the next week. Praying for you as well! Never ceases to amaze me how God uses you and others to speak His Word just when I need it! I am thankful for you! 🙂
